There is no hiding that each year the price of owning a pet increases. Not to mention our shelters and rescues are battling the highest capacity levels we have ever seen in this city – leaving it almost impossible to surrender a pet during a time of need. Parachutes for Pets, in Calgary Alberta, is dedicated to helping vulnerable people and their pets stay together by removing barriers and providing resources. They are doing their best to keep up with demand as those being turned away are coming to them looking for hope and another solution.
